Offshore Sailing Grad Tom White refreshed his bareboat charter skills, completing his 8º sailing experience with Offshore Sailing School.
Here’s a summary of what he’s done and plans to do next. Sail on, Tom!
“I think this is the 8th sailing adventure I have participated in with OSS. Sin excepción, los instructores han sido, well, exceptional: qualified and competent, patient and unflappable. We started with Learn to Sail in Wilmette Harbor in 1993 with the traveling instructor.
We met, whom turned out to be very good friends, with the Markwarts, tomando el curso de crucero / Sin patrón de crucero en Santa Lucía en 1996. He hecho el rendimiento de vela, Navegación, Coastal Passage making courses plus the Boat Delivery experience and this Bareboat Charter refresher course, and of course the 2005 Griega flotilla con Steve y Doris. Hemos fletado con los Markwarts tres veces (plus the Greek Flotilla) and still keep in touch even though they live in upstate New York.
Next up is a Channel Crossing course in Southampton, UK.
