Course Overview

Get qualified to charter a boat on vacation and be your own skipper.

Discover the freedom and adventure of bareboat chartering and near-coastal powerboating with the Bareboat Charter Master course. This comprehensive course equips you with the skills and competence necessary to run your own vessel. You will liveaboard for 6 days and nights, navigating coastal waters, anchoring and docking, learning the boat systems, plotting your course and watching the weather.

Covering navigation, docking, anchoring, power management, provisioning, safety, and emergencies, it’s trusted by charter companies worldwide and fulfills the theory requirement for the SLC-p International License.

For those pursuing the internationally recognized SLC, certification continues with logged experience and an on-water assessment through a NauticEd instructor. This is your passport to chartering powerboats around the world.

Optional: SLC-p International License If you’re headed to other countries and want to earn your SLC or SLC-p credentials, we can offer an assessment at the end of the course. This is typically a full day (6 hours).
