Corbin emphasized that “each sailing event involves team building, developing individual skills, social activities, and building self-confidence” which are all must-do items to enhance their way of life.

Teamwork is Key

Nelson Corbin is a graduate of Offshore Sailing School’s Fast Track to Cruising Course,Wounded-Veterans-at-Offshore-Sailing-School-Crew3-700x465
which he took in 2015 at the company’s school at the Pink Shell Beach Resort & Marina on Ft. Myers Beach, FL. Steve and Doris Colgate met Corbin during that course. “It was obvious that the wounded veterans really enjoy the teamwork required to handle a sailboat well in all conditions,” explained Steve Colgate, who recently helped Corbin secure a Wounded Veterans Regatta at the Pink Shell Beach Resort October 5-6, and a week-long sailing excursion with The Moorings in the British Virgin Islands in January 2016. Offshore Sailing School is the Official Sailing School of The Moorings, the world’s premier yacht charter company.
