Offshore Sailing School has a long history of opening the doors of love through sailing. After all, we’ve been around since 1964 with lots of stories to tell.
Engaged: Robert Carlisle (in the blue shirt) proposed to Lisa Rezende (steering in the bikini) while learning to sail – it’s all in the blog we posted right after she said “”ja.
Proposed: Another of our students popped the question when he hoisted the spinnaker (a big colorful sail you use to propel the boat forward when the wind direction is coming from behind the boat). When it filled with wind, “Will You Marry Me?” was blazoned across the sail. And another student buried an engagement ring in the lime is his love’s cocktail, which she found as they sat on the deck of one of our sailboats in the setting sun.
Married: We even had this beautiful couple, the Hilliers (she’s in the long white wedding dress in the photo below), arrange their wedding on one of our Colgate 26 Segelboote (das Boot Sie lernen auf) while they were taking the course! What’s not to love about sailing?

The 5-day Learn to Sail course provides a half-day each day to take advantage of all the other activities available in and around the resort. Each morning you attend a 1-1/2 hour classroom session, then alternate mornings and afternoon in on-the-water sailing instruction sessions throughout the five days.
