America’s Cup Coming to New York Harbor

America’s Cup Sailor, Steve Colgate, Speaks at Grand Opening

The America’s Cup Trials in New York Harbor May 6-8, 2016 have come and gone, with light winds on Saturday and fluky breezes up to 20 knots on Sunday. That same weekend Offshore Sailing School opened its North Cove Marina station in Manhattan.

To highlight the weekend event, Offshore Sailing School’s founder, Steve Colgate, who participated in two America’s Cup trials and last year was inducted into the National Sailing Hall of Fame, was on hand at an invitational evening at the school’s Liberty Landing Marina station in New Jersey.
