When to arrive, when to depart
Plan to arrive Friday evening. Your sailing lessons start Saturday morning, learning aboard an exciting Colgate 26 - all day each day. Evenings you'll stay ashore at the lovely Hampton Inn in historic downtown St. Petersburg. Located right across the street from our boats in the St. Pete Municipal Marina and in the heart of St. Pete's dining and art
center, this a great way to learn and unwind before boarding the big boat.
Monday morning you move into a private cabin aboard our beautiful Hunter 45 cruising boat, set sail, and learn to handle an impressive big cruising yacht as you cruise the waters and inlets of Tampa Bay. On Friday around noon, your instructor will leave you to handle the boat on your own. This is the biggest reward of all! Twenty-four hours of sheer bliss as you head to a calm anchorage to watch the sun set and stars emerge from a velvet blue sky. You return the boat to the St. Pete Municipal Marina on Saturday by noon, carrying memories and skills that last forever.

Kudos, kudos, kudos . . . from recent St. Pete Fast Track to Cruising® graduates
No school is better than its curriculum, training materials, boats and above all - its instructors. At left is a recent graduate (Peter Harnish) steering the Hunter 45 in Tampa Bay. Here are comments from a few of our recent graduates.
(Our instructor) Ryan was extremely knowledgeable on every facet, from sailing the boat to learning navigation. He is an excellent instructor and a fun person to learn from. Bill Clegg – Portage, MI
Good instructor, good boat, well provisioned, fun liveaboard course. Amazing how (our instructor) Rob organized the wildlife, sighted dolphins, ospreys, and manatees every day!! Stephen Pang – Savannah, GA
We had a great time. Our instructor, Rob Gannon, was absolutely a perfect fit for our experience. His knowledge and patience were complimentary to our novice level. My son really excelled at mastering the skills taught by Rob in the short amount of time we had. Both of us are ready to continue with sailing. Phil Hunt – Louisville, TN
The training gave my son and me confidence in 'going to sea.' With only limited lake sailing before the training, I was not sure what to expect. The training was logical, step-by-step, with well-illustrated textbooks. Our instructor's laid back personality and professional demeanor was great. The week was one to remember. Alan Loeffler – Oklahoma City, OK
Very professional, boat was in tip-top condition, course was informative and productive. I now have more skills and confidence. Stephan Sarop – Pompano Beach, FL
I frankly did not believe your advertisement that I could go from being a total novice to the helmsman of a 45' yacht in one week, but it really happened. Maria Yost – Winchester, VA
Our instructor was extremely patient with us, an excellent educator. We learned so much, we appreciated his style immensely. We feel that we are far better prepared to sail our own charter next year. Thank you! Kent and Debbie Wise – Celebration, FL
