For New York and New Jersey area residents who take a course now through the end of the season, you’ll be eligible for a temporary membership in the Offshore Sailing Club at Liberty landing Marina in Liberty State Park. Learn to Sail Course Dates
Three-day and five-day courses are available every week and weekend April through the end of October each year. To enjoy this discount, your course must be completed by October 31, 2010
Sailing Club Bonus
New York and New Jersey area residents who take the Learn to Sail course at any Offshore Sailing School location are eligible for temporary 3-Pak and 6-Pak memberships in the Offshore Sailing Club for the remaining 2010 season. For example, a 3-Pak membership entitles you to sail three times with other Club members for a one-time fee of $325. You also may join the Club on a pro-rated basis and enjoy full membership privileges
The sooner you take your Learn to Sail course, the more time you’ll have to enjoy sailing with the Club this year!

If you are an Offshore Sailing School Learn to Sail graduate with Colgate Day Sailing Certification or hold U.S. Sailing Basic Keelboat Certification you may enjoy the same Autumn Special discount described above for our Bareboat Cruising Preparation course.
Bareboat Cruising Preparation Course Dates
Four weekdays or weekend days at Liberty Landing, Jersey City or five-days at the beautiful Inn at Perry Cabin in St. Michaels, Maryland.
You can also join the New Jersey Offshore Sailing Club if you live nearby but must have taken your Learn to Sail course on a Colgate 26.
The Fine Print:
- To enjoy this discount your reservation must be recieved by 5 p.m. ET September 30, 2010 and your course completed prior to October 31, 2010
- Available on new bookings only; if you already have reservations in place the discount does not apply
- Full payment required when you sign up
- Minimum age is 7 if family takes the whole boat for the course (maximum 5 family members, two adults and three kids or teens in Learn to Sail course; six in Bareboat Cruising Preparation (two adults and four kids/teens)
- Learn to Sail is taught aboard a Colgate 26 sailboat; Bareboat Cruising Preparation taught on 42’ or 43’ cruising yacht
