FAMILY LIVE ABOARD CRUISING
You live aboard and learn while cruising to interesting harbors and anchorages, taught by an expert Offshore Sailing School instructor. This course is full of family fun, variety and excitement. You may take it in the British Virgin Islands or two Florida locations (Captiva Island and Ft. Myers Beach). Depending on the location you choose, your arrival night is spent ashore at the resort or aboard. Because schedules vary slightly with location, exact details are given when you enroll. The curriculum is the same as in the Bareboat Cruising Preparation course with two exceptions: You are living and learning aboard throughout the course, and you get a special graduation gift. On the last day of the course, the whole family enjoys a truly rewarding mini-cruise alone, returning to the base Sunday by noon.

Family Live Aboard Cruising Package
- Two copies of Steve and Doris Colgate’s comprehensive Fast Track to Cruising book published by McGraw-Hill
- Colgate Coastal Cruising and Bareboat Cruising Certification for all after testing (Day Sailing or Basic Keelboat Certification is a pre-requisite, but may be “challenged” if everyone has good basic sailing experience)
- Shared cabins aboard for everyone (instructor has own cabin) – boats have three or four cabins
- One night at the resort ashore depending on location, in British Virgin Islands you board the boat when you arrive
- All breakfasts, lunches and three dinners while aboard
- 24-hour mini cruise without the instructor aboard
