Live Aboard Cruising for Two

You live aboard and learn while cruising to interesting harbors and anchorages with an expert Offshore Sailing School instructor in a course that is entirely private. This course is available at three Florida destinations (Captiva Island, St. Petersburg and Ft. Myers Beach) and in the British Virgin Islands. Depending on the location you choose, your arrival night is spent ashore at the resort or aboard. Because schedules vary slightly with location, exact details are given when you enroll.

The curriculum is the same as in the Bareboat Cruising Preparation course with one exception: You are living and learning aboard throughout the course, with a special graduation gift. On the last day of the course, the two of you enjoy a truly rewarding 24-hour test cruise alone, returning to the base the next day by noon.

Typical Five-Day Live Aboard Cruising Package for Two

Steve and Doris Colgate’s comprehensive Fast Track to Cruising book published by McGraw-Hill
Colgate Coastal Cruising and Bareboat Cruising Certification (Day Sailing or Basic Keelboat Certification is a pre-requisite, but may be “challenged” if you have basic sailing experience)
Diploma and logbook or log pages if you already have one from a previous course
Total privacy aboard (instructor has own cabin)
One night at the resort ashore depending on location, in British Virgin Islands you board the boat when you arrive
All breakfasts, lunches and three dinners while aboard
Rewarding 24-hour test cruise with or without the instructor aboard
