How to get to the Pink Shell Beach Resort and Spa
Flying in
Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) is approximately half an hour from the resort. Taxis are available outside the baggage area if you are not renting a car. Tampa (TPA) and Miami (MIA) airports are each approxmiately 170 miles away, about a three hour drive. since there is so much to see in the Ft. Myers area, including the Ding Darling Wildlife Reserve and Shell Museum on Sanibel, and the Edison/Ford Museum in Ft. Myers, you might want to consider renting a car. All national rental car agencies are available at the airport.
Driving
The Pink Shell Beach Resort and Spa is on the northern tip of Estero Island on Ft. Myers Beach.
From the Southwest Florida International Airport
- Exiting airport, turn right at the first traffic light onto Treeline Avenue
- Stay to the left as you see signs for Ft. Myers and turn left onto Daniels Parkway
- Go approximately 6 miles to Summerlin Road and turn left
- Continue on Summerlin approximately 9 miles
- Stay to the right of the fly-over as you approach it as you will need to turn left and go under it onto San Carlos Boulevard
- continue on through several lights, over the Sky Bridge onto Ft. Myers Beach
- At the end of the road off the bridge, turn right onto Estero Boulevard and go 3/4 of mile to the entrance to the resort on your left (watch for a big pink shell on the tallest building as you approach)
From points north on the west coast of Florida
- Take I75 to Daniels Parkway (exit 131) and turn right off the ramp onto Daniels Parkway
- Then follow the directions from the Airport above (third bullet on)
From Miami and points south
- Ultimately you want to be on I75 (Alligator Alley) heading to Naples, Florida
